“Dude! Yeah, you! Asshole in the Redskins cap!” Okay, Tony was apparently just as angry as Andrew because he was striding away from the car they’d all just exited, making a beeline for the front of the group surrounding the house. “I don’t know what the fuck you think you’re doing, but this is Louisiana, not L.A.! If you don’t turn off that fucking camera and go away, I’m gonna go find a gator, drag it back here, and beat you to fucking death with it!”

Yeah, Tony was pissed. Then Darian followed and Andrew hoped he’d calm Tony down. The last thing they needed was to have Tony arrested for assault.

Or else Darian was going to back his man up, because, “That goes for all of you! How would you like it if a bunch of people showed up to take pictures after your son’s funeral? Or your brother’s? Because that’s what you’re doing,” wasn’t exactly soothing. Not for Tony and not for the bastards who were still filming and snapping off shots.

Andrew groaned but he still paced hurriedly to stand by his friends. “I can’t promise any of you ‘death by gator,’ but Tony’s already covered that,” he said bluntly. “And I know you need to make a living, but this is neither the time nor the place. Mr. Frank has already called the local police.” Andrew hoped so, anyway. “If I were you guys, I’d get the hell off the man’s front lawn and let him -- let all of us -- grieve in peace. And Pryde members?” He smiled slightly at the small sighs he got from the assembled fans. “We really appreciate you sharing our sense of loss, but maybe it would be better to find a nice restaurant or bar and drink a toast to Pete. That’d probably be a more fitting way of honoring him than standing around outside his father’s house, especially right now, you know? Pete loved Crown Royal. I’m sure he’d be thrilled to have you remembering him with a glass of his favorite.”
